I think comedians may be some of the most intellectual and brave people out there. Making political and religious statement laughable is no small task. However, once and awhile it’s nice to read something funny, just because it’s simply funny. It’s nice to stumble across something that doesn’t make me glance over my shoulder before chuckling. “Are Your There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea” is another rambling from Chelsea Handler’s collection of experiences. From sibling rivalry to embarrassments and numerous “slaps in the face”, this book reveals how witty the comedy truly is. I found myself laughing out loud countless times. And although this may not be the next big piece of literature this world has seen it beats out watching the latest version of Jersey Shore any day. I highly recommend grabbing a copy of “Are Your There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea” next time you wander by the discounted book bin of your neighborhood department store.
